Evangelization

What is Evangelization?

The Evangelization Office envisions the development of vibrant parishes committed to the missionary mandate of the Church, to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. It supports ongoing evangelizing efforts throughout the diocese through collaboration, resources and workshops. The Office supports pastors in the mission of evangelization, inspiring and equipping disciples committed to sharing the Gospel. Helps to create vibrant parishes where people encounter Christ (KNOW), are formed as disciples (LIVE), and witness to the Gospel in words and actions (SHARE).

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a tool to introduce people to an initial proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ.  It takes people on a journey often leading to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

It also provides a place for people to ask their questions, share ideas, build friendships, and experience the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Who is Alpha for?  Young - Old - Unchurched - Churched - It's for everyone

How does Alpha Work?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the big issues of the the Christian faith.  It revolves around three key elements: a meal, a talk (either live or via video) and small group discussion (provides the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas on the topics to build trust and friendship).
